Chapter 10: Karuzama's Changing the World

Fireblade and Comet walked into a desert. "Where should we go now?" Comet wondered. "See that darkened village?" Fireblade asked. "You mean that one to the right that's far away?" Comet asked. "Yes. We should go there." Fireblade replied. "Alright, let's go there." Comet said. She followed behind Fireblade.



They passed a village, and Fireblade noticed a lot of people crying. He turned around. "Comet, wait here." He ordered. He dashed into the village. He skidded to a stop in the middle of the village. In front of him was a pretty calico catrea. She was sobbing endlessly, and Fireblade looked over her shoulder to see the body of a male catrea. He was a black and gray tabby. His eyes were open and Fireblade saw that they were green eyes. Fireblade looked around. Everyone else in the village was walking along, not crying. They acted like nothing happened. If only one cat is crying and everyone else is acting like nothing happened, I need to hear what happened. He thought. He crouched down beside the calico catrea. "Hey," He whispered in her ear, "Could you tell me what is going on?"

The calico catrea looked at him. She wiped her tears. "My mentor was killed by a gray and silver catrea. He had amber eyes and he could shapeshift. Do you know who that person is?" She asked. "It was Karuzama. He... he is my creator." Fireblade said accidentally. The calico catrea stared at Fireblade. She looked ready to kill him. "You are his catrea he made? Does that mean you're evil?" She asked. "No! He nearly killed me, and I didn't do anything! I ran away from him!" Fireblade snapped. "Hm. Are you helping other villages?" She asked. "Yes. Would you come with us?" He asked. "I will come with you." the calico catrea said.

"Calico, have you heard what happened to the other villages?" Fireblade asked. They found out that the calico catrea's name was Calico. "Yes. The one you're heading to has a captured silver dragon. I heard she's injured, and she was injured by a silver dragon with amber eyes. He had the catrea there capture her. They are planning on killing her." Calico said. "That's not good sounding. But we should save the dragon." Comet said, butting into the conversation.

So who exactly is the dragon? Why is she captured, and who threatened her? Karuzama, perhaps? I mean, he is the only one with amber eyes and can shapeshift! (Doh!) Forget I said anything! Just read the freaking story!

Chapter 9: Comet, The Cunning Catrea

Fireblade climbed down the tree. He sighed. "I'm free from Karuzama, but he doesn't understand. If only I could make him understand..." He said. Fireblade walked down a dirt path, seeing where it lead to. He looked at the path. It had paw prints. He decided to follow the paw prints.

Fireblade followed the paw prints to a cave. He walked through the cave, through thorn bushes, and tripped on many rocks. The sun was starting to set. Fireblade saw a glow that was far away. A fire! It must be where the paw prints led to. He walked to the glow.



That's when Fireblade saw a black and white catrea. She was curled up by a fire. Fireblade climbed a tree to watch her.



He watched her until midnight. He fell asleep. Then, Fireblade suddenly had a dream. Karuzama and the black and white catrea were there. "Comet's life will end now if you don't tell me why you killed Shizuka!" Karuzama threatened. "I told you once, the raiders killed her! I didn't kill her!" Fireblade yelled. "Lier! Tell me the truth!" Karuzama yelled. "I didn't kill Shizuka! The raiders did!!" Fireblade angrily yelled. Karuzama let out this horrifying scream, and stabbed the black and white catrea in the heart. She dropped dead. Fireblade threw himself against Karuzama and flung him away.

Fireblade's eyes flew open. It was morning, and Fireblade jumped out of the tree. The black and white catrea woke up. She looked at Fireblade. "Hello, who are you?" She asked. "My name is Fireblade. What is your name?" Fireblade asked. "My name is Comet." The black and white catrea replied. Then her eyes opened wide. "I saw that raider attack. Are you the catrea that killed thirty nine raiders?" Comet asked. "I am the catrea that killed thirty nine raiders." Fireblade said.
"You were? That was amazing! No catrea can kill thirty nine raiders really quick!" Comet exclaimed. "Well, I'm an genetically engineered catrea." Fireblade said quietly. "What did you say?" Comet asked. "Um, I didn't say anything." Fireblade said. "Alright. But I swear that I heard something." Comet said.

Fireblade and Comet were walking along a path, out of Tiger Eye Forest. "So, Comet, why are you here at Tiger Eye Forest?" Fireblade asked. "There is this gray and silver catrea I'm after. I don't know his name, but he messed up my life at the coldest region, Arctia. Everyone was controlled by him. They tried to kill me, not knowing that I was their friend. I wasn't controlled by the mysterious catrea." Comet said. Fireblade's green eyes widened. "You're after Karuzama!" Fireblade exclaimed. "Well, yeah. He ruined my life, and he ruined your life." Comet said.
"He didn't ruin my life; he ruined his own life. Okay, I suppose he did ruin my life, but he accused me of killing his mother. But that's because he didn't see her die. I didn't either. She just died fighting." Fireblade explained. "I see." Comet said sympathetically. "What's wrong?" Fireblade asked. "I have to do something for Arctia. My best friend, Leorina, was killed in some fight that I wasn't in. They accused me of killing Leorina. I said that I didn't, but they didn't believe me. They told me to prove myself by killing the gray and silver catrea and bring his body there to show he is dead and that I didn't kill Leorina, but I killed Karuzama, the freak you were talking about." She said. Fireblade closed his eyes. "I see." He said.

Well, Comet's destiny and Fireblade's destiny are intertwined, I see. They've left Tiger Eye Forest, and they are starting a trip to help out people in villages and solve their troubles. Chapter 8: Raider Attack!

Fireblade sat outside, watching for anything unusual. Right now, anything could go wrong; poison, acid darts, forest fire, earthquake, tornado, maybe even raiders. Fireblade hoped nothing would go wrong. Right now, he needed a little peace so he could recover from those visions he recieved the day before. Shizuka and Karuzama understood, but other people wouldn't understand. Fireblade heard a rustle in the bushes, and then some shining silver. Fireblade stood up. "Come out and show yourselves!" He yelled. A man with a gun appeared. Fireblade walked bravely to the person. "Hello, ready to get killed?" He taunted.

The man loaded his gun. Oh, shoot! I said the wrong thing... what do I do now? Fireblade wondered. Then the man shot his gun at Fireblade. He barely missed Fireblade. Then other men with guns came out and shot at Fireblade. "Raider attack! There's a raider attack!" He yelled. Shizuka came out side. "What are you doing, Fireblade?! Get inside and protect Karuzama!" She ordered. Fireblade nodded, and ran into the house.

Fireblade and Karuzama were in the darkest part in the house. "What's going on, Fireblade?" He asked. "Raiders are attacking. I want to help Shizuka fight, but she told me to protect you." Fireblade said. "You're a person, too, Fireblade! You can't let everyone tell you off! Make your own decision this time. You can still protect me by fighting the raiders!" Karuzama encouraged. "All right, Karuzama. I want to fight, anyway!" Fireblade exclaimed, and rushed out the door.

When Fireblade left the room, he saw fire. Immediately he dashed back into the room with Karuzama. "Karuzama, there's a fire outside! We need to leave!" Fireblade yelled. He saw no windows in the room in this light.

Then, the fire reached the room. It illuminated the room. Karuzama spotted a window. "Fireblade, there's a window over there!" He yelled. Fireblade saw where Karuzama was pointing to, and he kicked the window open. "Karuzama, follow me!" He yelled. Karuzama ran to Fireblade, and they jumped out of the window together.

"Karuzama, take shelter in the forest. Go to Silent Star Lake! You'll be safe there!" Fireblade yelled, "I'll help Shizuka!" "But I want to stay here!" Karuzama complained. "Okay, then take shelter away from the house, at least!" Fireblade ordered. His green eyes stared into Karuzama's amber eyes. Karuzama closed his eyes and said, "Okay, I'll leave to a safe place."

Fireblade ran to Shizuka. She was dead, and the raiders turned around and saw Fireblade. He gritted his teeth. "Why you...." He said angrily, and lunged at a raider and bit his neck. He jumped off him onto another raider and killed him as well. This was not what Fireblade needed; a kid out in the undergrowth, a fire, and now a dead mother. He yowled, "Stay away from here! You're making my life and everyone else's life a misery, and we don't like it!"

Fireblade killed another six and then he grew weak. Sure, there were only thirty one left and he could handle them, but he was greatly outnumbered. Then, he felt himself change. It was only a moments notice when he realized that he was a fiery tornado with four swords sticking out. He maneuvered around killing all the raiders.

Karuzama heard Fireblade yell, "All the raiders are gone!" He ran to Fireblade, and the first thing he noticed was Shizuka's dead body. He glared at Fireblade. "Why did you kill Shizuka?" Karuzama asked. "I didn't! The raiders killed her." Fireblade replied. He stood up, and Karuzama lunged at him. Fireblade started running away into the forest. "I didn't do it, I didn't do it!" Fireblade screamed. He ran into the forest and climbed up a tree. Fireblade looked around for Karuzama. He was gone.

Fireblade has done something he didn't want to do, but in the end, he did it to save his life and Karuzama's life. Karuzama is under the illusion that Fireblade killed Shizuka, and Fireblade didn't do it. Now that he is set on the right path, he is determined to stop Karuzama from doing bad things. But what bad things? Fireblade doesn't know. But Fireblade does meet this beautiful catrea. Who is she, exactly, and what business does she have in Tiger Forest? Read on to find out!

Chapter 7: Lost In A Forest of Visions

Fireblade ran until he could not hear Karuzama. "I'm never going back to Karuzama. The orange cat was me, and now he shouldn't trust me." He said to himself. Then he heard Karuzama's voice again. "Fireblade, come back!" He yelled. Fireblade started to run again, but faster.

Fireblade found himself start to stop running and stop in his tracks. He sensed poison. Poison? Why do I sense that? He wondered. Then he saw visions into the future.
Fireblade saw men with rifles and gadgets. Raiders! He saw them marching to Karuzama's home, then his gaze switched to Karuzama. Karuzama was in a closed off room, and he was scared. Fireblade looked for Shizuka, whom was outside, fighting the raiders, and she soon died fighting. The raiders marched into the house. They searched for Karuzama. Then Fireblade saw himself, fighting off the raiders. Fireblade then saw something he never saw before. He turned into a fiery tornado with four swords spinning around, killing everyone in sight.
He gasped. Then the vision ended, with him running away.

Fireblade breathed deeply to rid himself of the vision. He started to walk to a rock.

Karuzama turned around to leave. "Fireblade, why don't you understand... I trust you..." He murmured. He walked away from Silent Star Lake and pushed through the trees, following the pawprints he and Fireblade made on the trip here. He walked away, hoping Fireblade was okay.

"Karuzama! Where's Fireblade?" Shizuka asked. "He ran away." Karuzama replied.

Fireblade ran back to Karuzama's house. "Karuzama!!!" He yelled. The door immediatly opened. "Fireblade, you're back!" Karuzama yelled, throwing himself on Fireblade. "I missed you!" Yeah, so do I. Fireblade thought, but I am here to protect you from the raiders. That's exactly why you made me, right? Shizuka was at the doorway. "Hi, Fireblade." She said. "Hi, Shizuka. Could you save me from Karuzama? He's starting to choke me." Fireblade said. "I'd be glad to. Karuzama, could you leave Fireblade alone, please?" Shizuka asked. "Alright, I'll leave Fireblade alone." Karuzama said. He left into his room, and Fireblade walked into the house. He sighed.
"What's wrong, Fireblade?" Shizuka asked. Fireblade gulped nervously. "I was at Silent Star Lake, and I got visions into the future there. They were bad futures." He said. Shizuka looked curious. "What visions did you have, Fireblade?" She asked. "I had visions about the raiders. I saw men with rifles and gadgets. I think they may have been raiders. My gaze slipped from them to Karuzama, who was in a closed off room and he was scared. Then my gaze slipped to you fighting, then you died, then finally, my gaze slid to me. I fought the raiders and turned into a fiery tornado with four swords sticking out, killing everyone in sight. And at last, the vision ended, with me running away. Karuzama was following me, accusing me for killing you." Fireblade said. Shizuka nodded her head. "I'd protect you and Karuzama, no matter what it would take." She said. "So will I." Fireblade vowed.

So Fireblade vowed to protect Shizuka and Karuzama, but does that mean Fireblade will be evil in the end? Will Karuzama find out the truth about Fireblade? And if so, how will he react? Read on, read on!
